Nice pic. That development has topped out and I expect the crane to come down within a few weeks.

Main and 1st (220 East 1st) has been fenced off and some demo has already started.

a crane has gone up near Victoria just north of the skytrain, I don't know what its for, but something is going up there.

I can't say for sure as I haven't gone past recently, but I'm guessing it's for the 3560-3570 Hull Street & 2070-2090 East 20th Avenue application.

I wish they would put the diamond pattern on the 2 verticals on the main facade
rather than on the corner.

Likely she is against spot rezoning on principle. Whether the end result is worthy or not, it is ripe for abuse. Being Canadian, most of us don't even think of how this can be a recipe for rampant corruption and graft. Not to say that is the case with this building, but it can definitely happen.

No, her concern was that 200 units at market rent are going to help increase the rents in existing affordable rentals in the area. The 58 affordable rent units (that won't rise over time in the same way that the market units can) weren't enough to persuade her to support it.

And your other statement makes no sense, and if it did would probably be very offensive. Have you got something against Canadians of Greek heritage?

I've passed Strathcona Park twice in the last week, last week there was a good amount of tents in the park around 3 pm it was tent city. Went past today, there were more tents and it was around 3:30 pm, so they didn't leave at 8 am, shocked. lol.

I'm not a fan of the design, but this is the kind of rental housing density we need along Broadway moving forward, so I'm all for it.
