It was semi-cloudy this morning, and as I wanted to work I noticed that the bottom third of the lantern (at least on the south side) is discolored--a tannish yellow. It looks like a tobacco stain. It was pale, but definitely there, and worse toward the bottom and east. My guess is that the exhaust from the HVAC units is dumping impurities on it. If that's the case, it's a major design failure; that HVAC has only been running for a few months.

Not a fan. Comcast Center is still a far better design, as are a lot of other skyscrapers in Philly.

I agree. The detailing on this one looks great close up, and it looks great from a few angles in the sky. But I'm generally not a fan of how the colors, textures, and shapes come together from most vantage points in the city and on the skyline. Oh well. The lobby looks interesting, and I'm sure the Four Seasons will be amazing. I look forward to checking that out when it's ready.

The Presidential suite at the Four Seasons will be named the "Foster Presidential Suite" -- how appropriate.

Four Seasons Philly web page is up, not sure how long it's been up, but first time I've looked it over. A few newer images.

It is open, if the reports of last week are true that employees were starting to show up for work at this location instead of across the street.

If you are asking about some type of Grand Opening, I haven't heard anything. It will be well into the fall before the whole building, hotel and all, will be done. I'm hoping that Comcast will have a open house week end at some point in the near future. We can all wear our Lord Foster outfits.
