It’s official. After nearly a century in a place of prominence in St. Paul’s Highland Park neighborhood, Ford Motor Co. has sold the 122-acre site.

Here's another article:

The closing signals the next major step in the redevelopment, which has been in the planning stages for over 10 years. Once developed, the project site will contain approximately 3,040 market rate housing units, 760 affordable housing units, 265,000 square feet of office space, 150,000 square feet of retail space and 50,000 square feet of civic or institutional space. The project also features over 55 acres of public and open space including four new City Parks and the preservation of two little league ballfields.

Indeed a huge project. When finished it will be a town within a town and all along the riverfront. Now if only they could somehow get a street car connection to the LRT or to the potential 7th street street car project. No matter what I'm sure it will have a great bus service.

An Uptown-based development company is planning to build a six-story, 174-unit apartment building at the site of the former Arby’s restaurant on Lake Street.

Developer plans apartments for Arby’s site

If approved, the building would have nearly 4,000 feet of street-level commercial space and 156 parking stalls for residents within two levels of underground parking. It would also have nine enclosed street-level parking spots to be used either by residents or retail customers.

This building is coming along nicely. The last pictures I've seen is it had one more story higher to go. My only hope is they jazz up the outside significantly as it is a very prominent location.

A $23 million reconstruction, including a new four-lane bridge with a pedestrian path, should mean smoother travels for motorists, cyclists and walkers, according to county planners. The Legislature allocated $20.5 million for the interchange in 2017.

Hopes are high for repairing bottleneck at I-694 and Rice Street
Roundabouts, redevelopment are in the works for outdated Ramsey County interchange.

Wayzata's downtown shoreline plaza construction set for March
Formerly called the Lake Effect, the project has been renamed Panoway on Wayzata Bay.

Wayzata is preparing to begin transforming the area into something more visually appealing: a $22 million beautification project funded by the city, state, Three Rivers Parks District and private donations.

North Loop mixed-use project with 36-story apartment tower clears historic preservation hurdle
The project would occupy an area next to Target Field that has been mostly surface parking lots and a transit hub.

http://www.startribune.com/north-loo...dle/566494452/

One of the biggest mixed-use projects in the Twin Cities development pipeline received a nod last week from the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC).

Houston-based Hines wants to build North Loop Green, which is to include a 36-story apartment tower with 450 rental apartments and a 14-story, 339,000-square-foot office tower on the west edge of downtown Minneapolis.

Nice riverwalk project vision for Anoka. I always like it when there is so much public space along the river. Something downtown Minneapolis lacks tremendously. Though they are trying to make it better.

Well it's been 2 days since I posted a bunch of stuff and not a nibble from anyone from within the Minneapolis area or beyond. Truly sad in it's lack of support.

I cannot believe how fast they are building the light rail line. I live in Eden Prairie and it went from 'nothing' to 'omg wow' in a few months.
