In the background of this 555 Mission shot. But you can start to see the final shape of the crown on this corner of the building:

Very nice shot with the two buildings in there. Its only the skeleton, but it'll look much better when the glass makes its way up there one of these days.

By the way, congrats BT on your 10000th post, thats quite the acomplishment!

BT and I joined at almost the same time, but I haven't even reached my 500th post yet! Congratulations to BTinSF! I am looking forward to his next 10000.

Anyway, when Downtown Dave gets back, I'd like to see some close-ups of the crown being constructed, especially with guys with little or no fear of heights working on the very top.

^^^I actually think that number of posts is kind of embarrassing--I "talk" too much. But I suspect it has to do with playing in the "Current Events" sandbox.

Just a few more floors of glass to go now:

A closer look at the crown taking shape:

You can now notice the slight recess of the top floors on the midrise. It almost looks like a distortion in the photo:

Progress on the crown. The "cat's ears' effect has disappeared, I think:

50 Fremont gets into the act again:

Mid rise and high rise together:

The new crane is itself in the way of the crown. Presumably they will use a giant mobile crane to remove it and complete this side of the top:

The rear of the mid rise features decorative cross beams that really interact well with the reflections from the main building:

The basket is used to hold construction workers:

The clamps for the glass to come are clearly visible:

Dave, very nice, and welcome back! We can see the panel clips on the metal framing of the crown. Those top levels are going to be rather interesting inside and out when they are completed.

Even half finished the crown changes the look of the tower. Once fniished I think it will really accentuate the slightly different look of the corner on the left in this shot (and its counterpart on the opposite corner):

A different angle on the midrise:

A lot of different design elements on this development, but so far they've managed to pull it all together:

It's interesting how the fins will appear and disappear depending on the angle:

Can't wait to check out this angle once they wash this thing:

Midrise from the bus deck of the Transbay Terminal:

Rapid progress on the mid rise; I love the interaction of the two structures:

More glass on the way up:

Great job guys. I've been in Guatemala for the last 10 days, so its really nice to see how things have changed since then. I also agree, those horizontal fins compliment the towers vertical ones very well in that reflection.

I was hoping you'd shoot the progress on the atrium today. I saw it this morning and never had a chance to get back over there. Looks like it's going to be an interesting feature.

A much delayed lunch today finds the sun at a different angle, and so a different perspective on the building:
