I've never been a fan of that line of thinking. Part of a building's allure is that they make a visual impact. Attempting to make a building 'disappear' has always struck me as something people who actually don't like buildings would contemplate doing. I want a building to make a statement and have weight. Airy? No thank you.

Any chance for some close-up podium shots?

I saw it in person last week when I was taking photos of Aura. There was only one sample installed and it was behind the fence. Not only that, but there were people standing right in front of the slab, so I couldn't get a picture of it.

To get a good idea of what the slab looks like, google - "black marble". I think that'll give you a slight idea. I'll try to grab some photos when there is more installed.

For sure a landmark view from the north coming into the downtown, not only there are Wellesley but also at Bloor.
