There are fire insurance plans at the City Archives (ca. 1911?) that show Victoria Park, which was replaced by the steam plant in 1920 or thereabouts. Quite good detail, of the circular path, park entrances, &c.
I had only really discovered the Amy Street steam plant when it was being demolished, I took some accidentally arty B&W photos of the smoke (steam, I guess?) stacks as the pigeons fled the bang of the wrecking ball. I have always thought it would be a good idea to frame them and sell them to the future residents of The Sky condos.
