14C and sunny in Moncton at noontime going up to 18C this afternoon. Nice fall day.

There is a nor'easter crawling up the US eastern seaboard this weekend. Lots of weather warnings down there for wind, rain and high surf. Curiously, the storm will stall over New England and will leave the Maritimes largely untouched. Usually these storms strength and accelerate as they head northward as the gulf energy clashed with colder Canadian air. Very strange.

Sunny and 12C in Moncton at 11 AM, going up to 15C this afternoon.

Remarkable temperature variation in the region right now. On the CBC regional morning radio show this AM, they mentioned that on PEI, the temperature ranged from -3C in Maple Plains to +11C in Cavendish. There's only about 25 km distance between these two reporting stations!!!

I see we are down to the usual suspects on the freeze list.

The only outlier left is Kamloops.

9C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 17C this afternoon.

Similar tomorrow, then we will enter a prolonged period of gloom and showery weather I presume this will be the remnants of the nor'easter currently affecting the BosWash region. It won't be a storm any more, but, persistent showery weather............

Actually mid October for a first freeze is bang in seasonal for Kamloops, as is most of the Okanagan too (so far in the Okanagan Valley itself, only the Kelowna airport station has had a freeze, though tonight that will change).

Charlottetown froze last night with -0.3 hourly reading.

16C and mainly cloudy. We experienced the very northern tip of the northeaster that is affect the Eastern US states.

Low of 7C this morning.

The warmspot was Point Pelee, ON at 22.2C. Latitude matters even more at this time of the year. It is the only EC weather station south of the 42nd parallel.

Warmest low was Baccaro Point, NS at 13.7C.

Thanksgiving Monday was pretty nice around downtown Vancouver. Sunny, clear, dry and a bit brisk and breezy.

The high at Vancouver Harbour was 14 C, the low was 5 C.

Vancouver is flirting with 0° right now with the environment, Canada is saying it’s 2.4° some of the suburban stations like Burns Bog is showing 1°

So we might fall below the freezing Mark tonight
