Concord Sky is officially 299m, so it actually isn't a supertall. But with one corner of the building above 300 metres, it gets a 1/2 rating...

Indeed. Concord Sky's supertall status only recognized by SSP

Calling it official because of some planning measurement is inferring one measurement (if measured correctly) is more correct than the other. People that just glance at architectural drawing or forgo looking up architectural drawings and take Urbantoronto's figures for granted are often missing out on height. Whatever. It is what it is. At least Toronto ain't Greater Vancouver. Those lazy planners seldom care about mechanical penthouses.

I always forget about this tower. I remember back at the start of the boom Pantages at 139.6 meters tall was exciting. I remember watching that from start to finish and now a 299 +m tower is almost forgettable. Maybe because it's Concord.

The design is a bit too "Aura" ish.

It's the 300m/299m tower we seem to know so little about. I'm hoping it turns out surprisingly better then expected.

The faster they build the tower the lower the labour costs. I guess when you're building with your own money the perspectives on construction timelines changes.

While I've lost faith in architectsAlliance recent (uninviting at grade) designs, most of their work is well-executed (materials etc.)... so perhaps Concord Sky will not be a complete eyesore lol.

Hopefully it will turn out better than Concord's signature? project at CityPlace below ;-).

Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis l u/c

Fine as an exclamation mark! for the City Place skyline… but boring as hell.

I doubt Concord are building all these without debt. This is billions just in Toronto.

CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre l Phase 2 u/c

Some very cool shots of the pedestrian bridge platform, linking CIBC 2 and Union Station, arriving and placed for installation.

Shipped to the foot of Jarvis Street Thursday night.

Planning recommended the height increase for approval, but it still hasn't yet been approved by the city. Hopefully it becomes official soon...

Will that pedestrian bridge be open air? If not I hope it's completely glass, I'd hate to lose the view of that old Iron stylized crossing behind it.

I can ride a bike again so a few days ago I cleaned it and rode for the first time in years. Maybe if it gets warmer I will visit to take pictures of the buildings in Mississauga. It takes around 30 minutes by bike to get there. Bus is only 15 minutes but I never feel like paying 3 dollars to go to Square One when it has no record store and Erin Mills has Sunrise. I got a new ultra-wide lens in 2021 just for these super tall buildings but I never really took advantage. 2 of the top 10 here in Mississauga! Maybe time for mods to move this thread to the Toronto subforum.

Great to hear about the bike. However, the odds of it getting warmer are not in your favour.

It's been all single digits this week and they are predicting double digits next week. It's been very up/down all year. Maybe winter will be warmer than autumn, who knows. I want to wake up early to photograph these buildings in the morning so it will probably be cold no matter what. It also has been windy all month and seems that will continue this week. Not just colder, I also don't like to be near construction sites on a windy day
