At looooooong last, after borrowing and renting for nearly a year, I’m the proud new owner of a 20D. A few family members pitched in for my b-day and gave me enough cash to purchase a used body.. I will effectively make this camera my bitch until the shutter can shutter no more. And as If finally getting this camera wasn’t enough, I landed my biggest, and possibly most important/defining gig of my career to date.. The pay will be great, but more importantly this job will potentially allow millions of people to see my work.. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity of displaying my work in Dallas’ newest urban community, aka Victory.. The Plaza outside the AAC features multiple oversized moving screens that will broadcast various news, advertisements and sporting events to the crowd below. As I understand it, some of my selected works, as well as future commissioned works featuring Dallas landmarks will be used as a screen saver of sorts.. filler if you will.. So, as you can imagine I’m about pop. Normally, I’d never share such info, as I don’t want to be that guy, or seem cocky.. But this whole thing is such an honor for me; personally, and I really wanted to share the news with you guys, my fellow togs. If you're still with me.. thanks (;
