Kudos to Baydo for innovating. Very Singapore
Back in 2000 I moved to Saskatoon and rented in Boardwalk Regal Towers (a few blocks away), the two bed room was around $900/month. I was in there for several years before buying. The rents they are asking for don't look unreasonable for 25 years later.

Honestly this building looks like a step up. If it has some retail on the bottom floor that is even better, that was always one of the problems with city park. Good addition for the city.

The criticism of manufacturing techniques is probably justified and more of an issue for the builder than anyone else.

From the story:

the second tower is completed by 2028, or possibly as early as 2027.
Still not exactly flying along.

The final tower has only 6 to 8 floors to top out, yet it will take until 2027 at the earliest to complete. Wow. Could rust in the beams become a problem? Or they may be pre-primed. There must be a lineup out the door for companies who want to work with these guys. Happy New Year, BTW! P.S. To the post below: That's great to hear, Crisis!

As much as we like to criticize the design, pace of construction, and the overall project, I've never heard any contractors complain about payment from Baydo. So long as they pay on time, they will have companies ready to work for them.

I see, the article says....
  • "According to a release, the towers will offer a “balanced mix of high-quality amenities that support active lifestyles, community engagement and connected urban living.”
  • “This vertically integrated structure allows Baydo to manage every stage of development, from the initial excavation to final project delivery,” the release adds.

Looks like Saskatoon is playing the leadership role. Burnaby is following in Saskatoons footsteps.

It even has a project page: https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=255462

There was a story in AllSask today about the lawsuit by neighbouring properties, including YWCA related to shoring issues. Sounds like a big mess that no doubt contributed to delays.

According to the Baydo Apartments website, the Baydo Tower 1 suites became available as of April 1st, 2026. Anyone here know someone who has taken a tour?

I believe that each of these towers is approx 80 meters in height. Can anyone confirm? If so, we should ask the mods to add the building height to this thread's title, as it is currently listed as "??m"

I have seen a few different heights listed for this project. Mid 70's to low 80's in height.

According to CBC and CKOM they are 76m. That was pre-construction so there could be a slight variance.

This website says 80m.

Might have to contact Baydo to get the definitive answer!

Haven't gotten any height info from anyone, nor could I find anything myself, aside from the link that was shared above.

If i update the thread to 80m for the towers, that works for everyone ? or do we want the exact height down to the decimal?
