That would mean the fence that was being built is a construction fence!! I would say its probably a 4-5 floor typical apartment.

It very well could be, however, most of the residential infill in downtown in the past few years have not been on a major commercial street, ie Main or St-George. This is a good opportunity and location for a mixed use development with ground floor retail. Hopefully we'll see something different than the typical 4-story building.

Signage is up for the new downtown Starbucks on Main Street. There is still lots of interior work left to do.....

An unusual rear perspective of the Moncton Law Courts on Assomption Blvd. Most previous photos have been from the front. This perspective really makes the building look like a bunker.........

Is that new? It looks like a throwback to the 1960s, and not in a bad way, just very retro.

Or, it's from the 60s and I've just never seen it before?

Its new, built a couple years ago. Its the one thing thats not a parking lot on Assumption Blvd.

Right on, when I said a while ago that I wished Moncton would commit to a modern architectural style, this kind of thing is what I was talking about. It could easily have been clad with red bricks or made to look "East Coasty" but instead it's just its own thing. Moncton would, IMO, be a much more interesting place if more new buildings followed suit.

The new downtown Starbucks will open this Thursday.

As previously mentioned, it will be one of the larger Starbucks locations in Canada and will retain design features from this building's previous life as a bank branch, such as the vault and the high ceilings.

It will be interesting to see how this will have turned out.....

Has anyone heard anything about the City Grill ? they are supposed to open there new restaurants open by September 21st, but I have yet to see any work going on there?

They were supposed to start blogging about progress on their two new restaurants in August. I see no evidence of this. Hopefully the project is only delayed and not cancelled.

Also, for what it's worth, the signs announcing the Izakaya Grill next to Mexicali Rosa's have disappeared and I see no evidence of activity here either. Maybe this project is delayed/cancelled as well.....

Looks like parking on Main street is here to stay. Queen street parking will be eliminated due to several complaints from cyclists.

I don't think StarBucks will open tomorrow, I drove by today and there is still alot to do in the store it appears.
