Yes, with the extension of LJR Blvd to the east, and with an interconnecting back street (planned), you would certainly have three signalized egress points for Costco shoppers if they built on the Day and Ross site. A planned move by Costco to Harrisville would be so wrong on so many levels.....

Maybe. This is a seniors complex, and senior citizens are not the biggest shoppers in the world, but you're right in the sense that if the seniors live in an interesting neighbourhood with shops and restaurants, these businesses could benefit from family outings.

The Shannex Moncton Parkland project will be the linchpin and impetus needed to kickstart the entire "vision lands" project. Who knows where things will go from here, especially after LJR Blvd is extended to McLaughlin. Ultimately new neighbourhoods will be built with shopping nodes and schools. Hopefully there will be a "grand plan" with appropriate density housing, walking trails, interconnected parkland and active transportation routes.
As far as the proposed northwest community centre (funding in place for 2018), I would think that the citizens in the Evergreen/Kingswood area would take considerable umbrage if their neighbourhood were overlooked for the location of this facility. It is the citizenry of this particular neighbourhood who have been so active in demanding recreational facilities for the northwest end.....
