If I am going to spend $28,000 on a camera, I would want it to have a warranty longer than two years.

I don't think a camera made of solid titanium would need warranty that much...

Why bother for a digital camera though? It's not like electronic parts would last forever. So the regular $7200 version is probably better value...

For $10,000+, it would probably be better to get the Pentax 645D.

Anyone having problems with their stats counter on Flickr? the last couple of days I've had 3 photos get a ridiculous amount of views ,one photo in particular has racked up 438 views in a day (a photo I would expect to top off at 5-10 views) someone is trying to pull a fast one, the question is why would anyone go through the trouble?

^Nope. The day I get 400 views on my account in a day is the day I don't log in and wander through my photos myself.

Did you check where the views are coming from or are they the ever-so-useful unknown source? In my opinion, Flickr should just block traffic from hidden connections.

It's the usual unknown source bullshit, personally I've always questioned some of the activity that goes on in flickr especially the photos that make it on explore

my theory is that Yahoo has a special program that monitors Flickr accounts whenever an account is up for renewal this program starts randomly clicking on the person's photo stream to drive up the view count (try to encourage them to renew their account) unfortunately in my case the program malfunctioned exposing their evil plot

Happened to me in May 2009, almost 5 months before my account expired:

The day after I got 2,700 views. No idea why.

For those of you who enjoy street photography, you have to check out this archive on flickr. Over 40K photos from the 50's to the mid 70's. I can spend hours here.

Is this for professional use? I can't think of any reason anyone would spend over $2,500 for a lens that has very limited usage

It was $2,000 and will likely pay for itself over time with print sales and licensing. I live at the wide end of my lens and almost exclusively photograph architecture and urban scenery, so this lens will be used very often. The creative potential of tilt-shift lenses is enormous.

Actually, it doesn't. The image circle is too wide to make a hood practical.

i could think of plenty of reason to buy a lenses like this. especially if your like hydro and have supertalls to photograph. you can get alot closer and get much better details. plus there is something about fusing the images that make the pictures very smooth if you do it right.

i would also like to see some test images from that bad boy.
