Yes Halifax does have construction sites!

I don't think I've ever seen Halifax shown in this thread before. So to be fair here's some pictures I shot of the Life Sciences Research Centre construction site today;

And just to show how close this is to the Trillium site;

Westgate Park

Xenex, it looks a little bland and institutional looking, but a great location. People are moving in, there are still units for sale.

looking a little like Detroit

Elboya double Stairmaster

Elboya, they could have made it bigger.

Centron Business park

CAFFE ROSSO, Ramsay Exchange. This little alley was in Brokeback Mountain as the backdrop for the Mexican scene apparently.

Ramsay Exchange, new offices

Ugh this makes me livid! Here were three perfectly good houses that got torn down. Sure whatever. Then they kicked everyone out of the apartment and were going to tear it town and build something on both sites. Now the apartment building is getting recognized as a heritage structure so at least that's good but now I'm sure the whole project for this site is on hold now. So a perfectly good and livable apartment sits vacant for years and years! grrrr...
/rant, sorry, nice pics tho!

A construction photo tour I took today through the North-End from Younge at Agricola (5552 Kaye) to Citadel and back up to 5505 Falkland. All photos by me;

Garden Stone Place a.k.a. 5552 Kaye Street:

McCully Worklofts (the sign was taken down and a small hole was dug recently):

Agricola at North:

Under-going renovations:

Armoury Villa:

Armoury Square:

I see a crane:

5505 Falkland Street:

I'm hoping to get to the South-End later this week to get some construction shots down there.
