i went to cosmo last night........AMAZING!
they did EVERYTHING differently - but did it right.
the chandelier is awesome! the 3 upper levels are so different with the lounge space, couches, pool table / foose ball, etc.....everything amazing.
the porte cochere is so bright and clean. the casino cabanas are fun and intimate.
the pool deck will beat wynns any day by the view alone.
the hotel registration is a bit understated. but maybe that is a good thing. every where it was packed. everyone in aw. i then went next door to city center and i was the only one there. the mall was depressingly dead. the casino felt even for like an airport terminal compared to cosmo. its truly said how city center failed.
the hidden pizza place is a true find. no one will come across it unless you know what to look for - the smell on the second level from some restaurant had me drooling. but not as much as the chandelier. im in love with that thing. bars everywhere - must be 4 or 5 within the chandelier.
the exposed glass cylindrical elevators that ride on one track, with the curved doors.... pinch me.
when i got my car from valet, there was bottles of water and purple cookie (cute). there are several concierge desks and even an information kiosk at front. staff EVERYWHERE and so hospitable. i must say it was great playing a slot machine 5 feet from the strip. i dont know any other casino this close to the street.
when i left i realized that something was off......then i realized that everything shown in the cosmo tv commercials where not in the property... there is no grand stair case with the bulb chandelier above. there are no hotel rooms circling said chandelier. i wonder if these are in different spots. or maybe the commercial was shot at a different place. (?)
cosmo is a bit tight squeeze, but it felt fun as if everything is accessible.
this is the only property i would want (and plan on) having a stay-cation in.
i would post pictures, but nothing would do it justice....even the professional photos dont capture its true essence.
just GO! GO! GO!
(but dont gamble - the slots are tight)
