to call him the "sorriest excuse for an architecture critic" seems like ridiculous hyperbole to me.
the pulitzer, of course, was not based upon his ability to critique architecture, but rather a much deserved win on writing about racial disparities in our city...

It's great to see that a nationally renowned architecture critic becomes the "sorriest excuse for an architecture critic" the moment he doesn't agree with your views.

Everyone's a critic.
We all offer our praise and criticizms where we feel is needed.

For example, while I like the design, imagine if a redesign had exposed elevators running along the sides of the tower in a dynamic and exciting way with LED lighting for night-glow effects.

What's wrong with an oven or a frying pan?

A balcony is best during certain times of the year.
Winter or summer = too cold or hot for me.

^Meat cooked over an open flame just tastes different compared to meat cooked on a grill pan or in the oven. Especially chicken.

"Inspired by nature"

"When I saw this fully formed and beautifully rendered image in my daughter's eye, I was awestruck by what nature can create, and decided to design the tower with this inspiration. Calatrava's Spire design has nothing on this wonder of Mother Earth." - Jeanne Gang

Vista

Also, it's good to see they've dropped "Wanda" from the name. Wanda is not an attractive name nor does Wanda roll off the tongue. Sorry to any Wandas out there. Wanda.
