Wow, the tower rendering from the Hudson River is pretty spectacular.

With that lighting scheme, this is gonna be a badass tower. Almost feels appropriate for Rockefeller Center, with the art deco hints.

yeah drones are illegal. but you know where i see a lot of people fly or i guess maybe practice flying drones? at the north end of roosevelt island. i dk why it seems too windy, but you see them there often. maybe they get away with it because the state runs the place? i dk.

That’s not the best rendering, but of course midtown renderings always showcase the ESB. You don’t get more NY than that. The Statue of Liberty woyld be in there if it made sense.

But a better sense of the tower comes with the model.

I look forward to seeing the east facade. I’m curious if it also has setbacks and if they parallel those on the west or if they’re asymmetric.

RGarri’s rendering indicates that there are symmetric setbacks, but I don’t know the basis for his conclusion.

This rendering you posted on the previous page shows the backside clearly has the same setbacks as the front.

Thanks. I always assumed that perspective was from the west, but now that you mention it, I see Javits behind it, which indicates that the view is from the east.
