EDITOR'S NOTE
This is the digitized version of an article that appeared in the Saturday, Feb. 27, 1993 edition of the Staten Island Advance, after the first terrorist attack at the World Trade Center in Manhattan. Stephen Knapp of Great Kills was one of six persons killed on Feb. 26, 1993 when a bomb ripped through a subbasement at the World Trade Center. Sunday marks 30 years since the day of the attack.

Staten Island residents were trapped in every imaginable corner of the huge complex that is the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan during yesterday’s disaster.
