Did you really need to quote a 10 picture message so you could write one sentence circle jerking your own city?

you do realize Townguy that writing your response required more effort on your part than scrolling past the 10 pictures again.

I have absolutely NO issue scrolling past the same 10 images of such a beautiful city. Great Montreal shots!

I definitely mind; it's borderline spamming. We just spent time looking at it and know exactly where it is if we want to look at it longer. It did take longer to scroll past all of that and we've now trebled the effort required.

It's good practice on a picture thread not to repost the pics when commenting. Unless one repost just one pic among many to make a specific comment about that one image.

Yea, and create many headaches for the users of this thread and site who want to visit this thread. The photos are nice, the city looks great, but a ten photo post should be cut down when being quoted by any user.

It's frowned upon to quote a post with more than 3 or so photos in it's entirety, no matter the size of the images. It's not a rule in the sense that you'll be punished for it, but it's a rule of thumb on this site.....and I'm sure other forums in the cyberspace. (Didn't mean to sound too dick-ish before)

The only time I think re-posting a 10 photo post is when it was posted by the user on the last message of the previous page. '

That being said, great photos. A city defined not by its corporate skyscrapers or bland condos, but but an eclectic mix of hundreds of years worth of building morphology.

It also slows down the loading and browsing of threads. Just fyi, I've put the quote in [spoiler] tags to cut the post down.

Ha ha ha.

It's fun. Montreal still manages to be a little quirky.

I knew of its existence but I never knew that it was at one of the entrances to McGill University.

From what I can see they did a terrific job on that street. It looks like quality pavement and a nice walk.

That should be the standard for all of our streets.

This does look great. So this walkway is new? Is it economically feasible to do that instead of typical concrete panels?
