Patachou, for example, was a popular singer from the 1950s cabaret scene, same style of music as in your video:

There's one of her songs that has almost exactly the same tune as in your Québécois song, but I can't put a finger on it right now.
My favorite song by Patachou is this one (featuring Georges Brassens too), which is a real gem. A very short song, but everything is perfect, music and lyrics (which are so not French with their cute positivity). This is the sort of music that all the Québécois singers from the 1960s and 1970s listened to in their youth.
