In the above render, looks like the lantern is lit and extended to the base of the cooling tower. They could be waiting for more translucent cladding. The led lighting in previous photos were attached on the exterior of the cladding. This seems to be the reason for the delay.

you know that actually makes perfect sense & is suggested by the renders. Thinking it would look pretty stupid to have glass go half way up the darker section of cladding of the cooling tower then switch to what's on the lantern.

Not sure if the blue protective wrap has been addressed, but it's not coming off as easy as had been hoped. Just a little headache, nothing major.

No worries, the rain, wind, and sun have loosen the adhesive on the blue wrap. It will eventually come off by itslef.

It look like they were removing the blue Saran Wrap today on the eastside of the buildings vertical stainless steel awning. Question; why didn't they remove it before installing it, instead of hanging off the side of the building to do it.

I assume that's to keep the pieces from getting scratched up while being moved into place. I can't imagine any other possible reason, although I question how much real protection is given by a thin layer of plastic.

That is correct. Protecting the product is the installers responsibility during construction.

Does this change the height at all, or is it already factored in?

They added a short mechanical floor. Brings the "roof height" (let's not get into this again) to about 995 ft or something like that

Looks like a different part of the lantern is lit tonight, more in the middle rather than the base.

Based on TK2001's pictures it looks like the crane cab has been lowered quite a bit in preparation for its removal. Are those tower mast sections on the west side of the top roof?

Looking a little closer at TK2001's first image it looks like you can see a mast section that was being removed or lowered.

A climbing crane can both raise and lower itself, but that process is time consuming. Since they have set up parts of a separate derrick on the roof I wonder when that will come into play? I'm also curious as to where this derrick will be able to lower the crane pieces to; it's arm doesn't look longer enough to reach out beyond the edge of lower section of the building.
