As with Fontainebleau I dont think developers like this one and Icahn are idiots, otherwise they would not be doing what they are doing in Vegas. They just have lots of patience it may be a while.
Right behind Wynn I guess.

I knew this was going to happen though. When the prices for properties go down, or they go into bankruptcy, a lot of outside groups will come in and start buying up properties. It's a good thing, because that means Vegas will recover and people know it.

Despite the mess The Cosmopolitan has been involved in the past several years it seems like the final project has a good sense of identity behind it. It's definitely aiming for a young, hip vibe but it seems to have depth behind the decor, restaurant choices, and even options like the Art-o-Mat that help build the brand experience for the hotel.

Getting excited for this to open.

Steve Wynn of all people likes the rooms of the Cosmo when he took a look... He just hates the traffic layout.

NICE. Hopefully the letters will be turned on before the cosmo even opens so we can see. It's white though so it's probably wont be a yellow beacon like westgate. And there are signs on all 4 sides of the tower. I assume on the east/west side where it's smaller they'll just put the cosmo's giant "C" Logo.

It's also amazing how the new led sign up front gives a voice and life to the cosmo and it hasn't even opened yet. Never saw this with citycenter. I think it will do well in time. I would even say the compact design could be revolutionary for a resort. People do not like walking all day. The balconies overlooking the fountains and citycenter, rooftop pool up by strip front designed way before Encore put in theirs. Like Wynn said the traffic may be an issue but it will be overlooked by all the other positives Cosmo has.

The Cosmo is looking more and more amazing!!! I remember four years ago when there was absolutely nothing there except a huge hole in the ground and some cores sticking out of the ground. Construction seemed to be painfully slow at periods and has seen some very dark times in the process, but the important thing is that it will finally get done and be at least as amazing if not more than we have all been anticipating!!! One thing that's for sure is that so far all I can saw is awwwwwwww...

well looks like that answers the question of how powerful cosmo's lighting is, though I hope the rest of the tower is also lit up, that would help lessen the blue stripes a bit. Still its looks a bit too white, not the bluish-green in the early renders which I liked. Also looks like not all the stripes in this tower are lit up unless they are only lighting the bottom half of the tower.

Oh and forget the rest of the letters they should just put the O and call it The Cosmo. Easier to say.
