Man, it's funny seeing how short the Chase Bank Tower looks there. It wasn't really all that long ago when that building and a handful of others were the tallest in Austin. As recently as 2000 it was still the 6th tallest. Now it's the 42nd tallest.

Even though the crown is pretty much going to blend in with the rest of the building, I'm going out on a limb and saying it will be one of the better crowns dt especially if they do a nice job lighting it somehow.

Wow, they threw that thing up fast. They started on the crown eight days ago.

View from Dripping Springs

This one has been fun to watch creep over the hills.

Now that I look at the crown, I kind of wish the apex was on the north side so it would mimic the One America's highest tower section instead of opposing it. I think it would have looked awesome, but, oh well...Sorry if I seem to always find something to critique, as if it even matters.

I see what you mean, but they'd just be having a measuring contest at that point--it would be a distracting for me. Indeed is....indeed bigger, but One America is a classic which I would tell "it's not the size, it's what ya do with it that counts!" ....but that girth of Indeed is just indisputable. Is it warm in here or is it just me?

Towers has a roundup article on projects, including two really nice closeups of the crown.

Finally something taller than Frost north of 6th. Will give the skyline a more balanced mixture of height. Just wait until we see 6X looming up to the left of Indeed from that angle.
