I didn't take a pic, but sorry if this has been discussed before. At the NE corner of Guadalupe and MLK there's a site surrounded by a green fence. Anyone know what's going on there?

Hey ya... It will take up the entire block.
They are waiting on the leases to expire at the two restaurants.

Yep, until Friday! Every time I come up I bike around the city, ride into downtown and explore a few residential areas. Late next month I will mostly likely be moving up here.

You know, considering the now-closed Austin's Children's Museum is likely to be the site of this area's next big development project, it's really a shame they couldn't do them all at once so that they're all finished around the same time rather than the area perpetually feeling like a construction zone. But with the way the area is changing, you have to think there's more impetus than ever to develop the lot. I hope it's something big; something that adds to our skyline.

World Class Capital Group bought the remaining block surrounding The Austonian a couple of years back. As of yet, I have not heard of what they propose to do with the properties.

The AFL-CIO building off Lavaca has a fence around there property. Not sure if there remodeling or redoing the parking lot.

They are keeping building. Mostly inside re-do....
Hopefullt they at least put some green around the building. ! !

Thanks MichaelB. I sure hope they put some green, the parking as well as the building itself is so bland.

God dammit! Why didn't they make Frost Tower just a few floors taller? It's already starting to get lost amongst the newer buildings.

Thanks! Agreed about the Frost Tower. Such an iconic building.

The powers that be may need to establish Frost Tower view corridors

Maybe someone else will have better luck with it, but there's a file on the city's FTP site for a "Fraternity House" at 2500 Nueces Street. I was trying to see if there are any elevations. This keeps crashing my browser, though, since it's 32 megabytes.

Oh no! No more view corridors Lol not even as a joke. Knowing some of the people in this city, they might just try.

Its a simple solution, have a sister tower to Frost built with it's hight between 800 and 1,000 feet.
