Found this picture from Jenny Wun's website, it's a bit old.. this was probably taken sometime in late October 2014.

Both former malls also have surface parking facing Kingsway.

There's only 3 elevators in this 50 storey building??? I've lived in a 18-storey rental with far less units, with far shorter travel distances, that had 3 elevators...

I dont think this is accurate.. 3 elevators will service 5 to 32, the other 3 will only serve 33 to penthouse level.

how do you get to the 33 level if only 3 elevators only reach level 32?
Bottom line is there are 6 elevators servicing the whole building...not 3

Not to change topic. Towel one has 3 elevators to only service the strata section. 3 elevators for the rental section because they each have separate lobby.

Ah I get it...think residences will catch the elevator nonstop from level 5 all the way to level 33 and upward. Corect me if I am wrong

Yup - same as most office towers.
One bank of elevators serves the bottom half of the tower (called the "lowrise") from the lobby
One bank of elevators serves the upper half of the tower (called the "highrise") from the lobby

The real question would be
- is there a lobby at grade and do those banks of elevators start from below in the underground parkade?
or do you have to transfer elevators at some point from the parkade?

Both sets of elevators start at the bottom of the parkade.

There is also an upper lobby and a lower lobby, depending on which side of the street you come in. The amenities are on level 3, which both sets of elevators will also have access to.

And also, tower 1 and tower 2 are identical, just mirrored and rotated.

Some really nice units in these towers.

The shared balconies are a turn off. But there is a couple 2 bedroom/2bath plans with some grand balconies, 300+ sq/ft.

Haven't decided between this and SoLo.

Ignoring the ridiculous regional prices in general, I can't decide which development is a better value.

I like both developments too. If you need sooner occupancy,,,then go for Solo.
If you can afford to wait I go for Brentwood two. I still think Brentwood two has a slight better location simply because you do not need to cross busy Willingdon to go home....after a busy day at work !!. Besides who want to be living above the noisiest intersection of Willingdon/Loughheed. Once Brentwood two is up, you will have some view obstruction. My opinion. Dont hate me.

I don't suppose that we can convince them to knock Sears down while they're at it, huh?

So the excavation is massive and they are marketing the residential units. And it's going to be some time before the retail opens for business, but with the elimination of Target from the playing field are there any announced or rumoured tenants for the new mall space? I would be nice to get a feel for the tenant quality

I'm really hoping for either Osaka Market or H-Mart to occupy the space for grocery store
