Broken video is broken.

Also, did anyone else see that woman flash Ben Eager during one of his box-stints? I did

The Sedins weren't the only twins looking good against the glass last night.

You can see the incident at 2:46:46 below:

I don't understand the Canucks. I don't understand Luongo. I don't understand Vigneault.

It's the Chicago series all over again, with one exception: we are only leading the series 2-0, not 3-0, and there might not be a happy ending this time.

I really hope that Vigneault sheds his stubborness and pulls Luongo (who has lost every game he has played in San Jose) and puts in Schneider (who has won every game he has played in Jan Jose), while the Canucks still actually have a slim chance of winning this game.

But given the fact that the coach refused to pull Luongo in game 4 of the Chicago series until the score was 6-1, and the game was entirely lost, I don't have much hope.

The problem I have with AV is that he's still doing his linejuggling.

If it aint broke, DONT FIX IT!

Takes out Tambo and Hodgson and puts Glass and Bolduc instead, sigh.
Not to mention Rome over Ballard still doesn't make sense, all he his doing is sliding down the ice.
What do you know, as I type Rome takes another penalty....

Also Prometheus Luongo in the second period is the reason why the canucks are still in it, some great saves.

That's great. Every rational person knows that Luongo is a great goalie, which is why it's so hard to understand how he always finds a way to let in an inexplicable, soft goal in almost every game. Tonight, that soft goal occured on the first shot.

Vigneault was outmanuevered today.

I was pretty harsh on AV in the first two rounds, but what happened tonight wasn't his fault at all. There's no reason to swap out a Vezina-nominated goalie for a backup who botched his only other playoff start, just because of a couple of bad goals. Especially since those goals came on SJ powerplays. If the team hadn't been parading to the penalty box all game, Vancouver would have had a real shot at winning.

This is nothing like the Chicago series. There's no Dave Bolland coming back from injury to shut down the Sedins, there's no ugly Raffi Torres hits to fire up the opposing team, and it wasn't a blowout tonight by any stretch of the imagination. Nothing has changed in this series. The Canucks simply played a careless game, and there's no reason to believe they'll repeat that.

Five straight penalties against the Canucks before the Sharts got one? WTF? And it seemed the two man advantage was given to us after the Sharks scored a bunch of goals and seemed to have the game in the bag, just to make things look even, only to make up for that by giving them a two man advantage later on.

Granted the Canucks need to play with more discipline and need to work on their special teams, nor did they deserve to win tonight, but really, can you say the officiating was not tilted against us?

Lapierre's first penalty was 50/50 but Ehroff's major was a penalty, there was blood.

I thought I'd rather have any other goalie than Luongo. I'm watching the Tampa-Boston game this morning, and Roloson has just let in 3 goals on 9 shots. Out of those 3 goals, two of them were questionable (the third one, going five hole was definitely a bad goal). No goalie is perfect, and Luongo, to be honest, after the Chicago series, has played pretty decent. Last night was a stinker of a game. down 3-0 in the first period. The boys clearly weyre not mentally ready for the game yesterday. They got better, but if a comeback were to happen, it had to have started with the five on three PP. They score on that opportunity, comeback would have been possible. Don't score, and they jeopardize their chances, which they did (they lost).

I think it was also uncharacteristic of the team to plan a parade route to the penalty box (almost seemed like they wanted to go there. lol). in all seriousness, not their best game, but you know what? they'll come back on Sunday, and play a much better game. wouldn't be surprised if they won it as well (they need to, or it'll be tied, and momentum has been given to the Sharks). going home 3-1 is much better than being tied 2-2.

Prediction for Sunday: 3-2 score for Van.

And what did the coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning do? He changed goalies. And what happened? His team found life, no more goals were let in, and the Lightning overcame a three-goal deficit to win the game 4-3.

Obviously, many factors contributed to the Canucks' lost last night. But imagine if the Sharks' fourth goal (which was unscreened, undeflected, and sailed right through Luongo's legs, once again) was not let in. The Canucks would have had a chance to win the game in overtime.

The Lightning's coach had the brains (and the balls) to make the big decision when it mattered. And it paid off.

Vigneault didn't. We know the results.

Hopefully Mike Gillis will do the smart thing after these playoffs and fire the incompetent coach of the Vancouver Canucks, and then hire the hockey genius, Prometheus.
