Hopefully this is a step towards convincing the people behind very tall neighboring projects to go ahead and build them (Tribune East, Parcel I and 400LSD etc.)

These are the restaurants going into the St. Regis

A Japanese restaurant and a Tuscan steakhouse are set to open next spring along with the hotel, which faced delays when a deal with Alinea Group fell through.

Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises is set to open two restaurants in the upcoming St. Regis Chicago, a high-end hotel slated to open next spring in one of the city's tallest towers.

The first establishment will be a Japanese restaurant and the second will be a Tuscan steakhouse, Lettuce President R.J. Melman said in a statement. The Japanese restaurant will open the at the same time as the hotel, with the steakhouse coming later, according to a spokeswoman for Lettuce Entertain You.

Lettuce and Magellan have not announced names for either restaurant. The Japanese restaurant will be an all-day dining option on the 11th floor... The Tuscan steakhouse on the second floor...

Residents started moving into the residential portion of the building in late 2020, and the condos are 60% sold, according to Magellan.

Lettuce Entertain You reveals St. Regis Chicago restaurants

Lettuce Entertain You announced the names of its two restaurants that will open next year in the St. Regis Chicago.

The first restaurant, Miru, is expected to open next spring in tandem with the hotel, which has experienced delays. "Miru" is the Japanese verb for "view," and will have two terraces and an 11th-floor dining room that overlook the Chicago River and Navy Pier.

The second restaurant, Tre Dita, is slated to open in the second half of 2023.

Good news! The area needs a reason to draw people there, other than just lost tourists trying to find Navy Pier. Eating and drinking places are the best way to do that.
