Is the skyscraper opened? And the 14th, not 15th tallest in the world. But why is it simply a "tall box design"?

NOBODY will like a simple design. It should be futuristic.

None of this is true. 432 Park has an improved streetwall, because it replaced small-scale retail along 57th that didn't align with adjacent buildings with a huge retail space that does align with adjacent buildings. 57th Street will be much more vibrant than before.

The Park Ave. side isn't zoned for large scale retail anyways, nor is it zoned for buildings lining up. That corner was never vibrant, and zoning doesn't intend for Park to have extensive street-level retail in the first place. It's intended for banks, showrooms, and office lobbies. Yet the Park Ave. side has a multilevel retail space, where previously there was nothing.

Vinoly vastly improved Manhattan's urban street fabric. He replaced empty, blank spaces on the Park Ave. side with huge multilevel retail spaces on the 57th Street side. The neighborhood is far more urban, pedestrian friendly, and vibrant than before.

There are no "boring plazas and driveways" at 432 Park. You made that up.

People just like to make up random stuff on SSP. The corner of 56th and Park used to be a blank, empty space that didn't line up with neighboring buildings. Now it's a large multilevel retail space that lines up with its neighbor. Apparently urban multilevel retail space is really a "driveway" according to Hamilton.

Simplicity is what makes this tower beautiful.

My older photo.

There will be no empty streets, on the contrary, retail stores at the tower base will attract people to the neighborhood.
56th street corner will not be empty either, there will be another retail pavilion and small public park with trees.

I don't think this tower is photogenic, but in person, its quite nice. Might be one of those cases where photos don't do justice.

The base is great. Its also not as thin as most would believe it would be. Now Steinway will be thin just looking at the site but 432 has a little bulk relative to its surroundings.

If I could get a pillow, I'd live in a trolley with that view. Imagine the commute? Just ride the trolley down and walk towards One57, where my other trolley unit is located.

She's right, this building will ruin Central Park, the city might as well sell all 843 acres right now to developers.

Disagree.

This is far superior to building things that looks like they belong in Lujiazui or Shenzhen in New York.

You can get yourself into trouble when you use terms like NOBODY, NEVER, ALWAYS, etc. Clearly SOME people do not like the design and SOME people do. YOU think it should be futuristic. That is an opinion, it is your opinion and not a fact.

My personal opinion is that the building fits New York perfectly. I like the simple design, I think it is elegant and I believe it will add a nice contrast when mixed in with the other super talls of various designs under construction.

432 Park in Numbers: New Renderings and Superlatives Will Blow You Away

432 Park in Numbers: New Renderings and Superlatives Will Blow You Away

Now that Macklowe Properties‘/CIM Group‘s 432 Park Avenue is nearing completion, with occupancy slated to begin in mid-2016 and 70 percent of units reportedly in contract, the development’s marketing and branding agency DBOX has released a bevy of never-before-seen images of our skyline’s newest icon. Being the tower of superlatives it is, it comes as no surprise that it boasts a marketing campaign to match. Employing sky-cams, drone photography, a million-dollar film, and breath-taking renderings and photography, 432 Park has perhaps the most elaborate promotional campaign ever conceived for a Manhattan condominium.
