^ OT, but I have a running joke that I like to tease our friends to the south with:

There are two types of baseball teams. Those who have won a World Series title in the 21st century, and those who have not.

L.A. Dodgers: World Series Champs 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988

S.F. Giants: World Series Champs 2010, 2012, 2014

L.A. 5, S.F. 3

& to rub it in, L.A. Angels (of Anaheim) beat the Giants for World Series in 2002. Of course, Oakland had us in 1974. So we can call that a tie, although in 1988 L.A. beat Oakland.

Uh, it's 2010, 2012, and 2014 for the Giants? And he said in the 21st century, none of the Dodgers wins fall in that category.

OK, 5-3 L.A. sice teams moved west. Edited original. It has been a long wait since 1988, have to admit. You got a good manager when you took Bouchy from San Diego. We did have Vin Scully too. Sad he retired--in ATT Park! I was up there when Morgan hit his home run in 1982. Every bit as bad as that home run in '51 by Bobby Thompson ("THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!! THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!!"). Dodgers-Giants, a great rivalry going back to Ebbetts Field/Polo Ground days.

Absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see what it looks like when these two are completed. Might not be the tallest skyline on the West Coast, but hands down the most dense and most beautiful!

@viewguysf

What about the scaffolding across the street @ 350 Mission? That's been there since at least the start of summer.

I'd been wondering about that too. they have this spectacular lobby, and it was almost immediately boarded up.

apropos of throwback weekends and that cool Fleet-Week-tinged shot, here is an otherwise random pic from Oct 2007 when Rincon Hill was first making itself visible to rest of the city

this little thing is taking forever... this is the northern (Folsom St) terminus of the power line extension from 23rd St in the Central Waterfront.

this shot would have been far less crowded just a couple years ago

another look at the progress in South Park. seems to be much more concrete than there was in the previous version

the mid-block passage at 1 Henry Adams. looks like the buildings sit on a raised platform on the west side, just as 2 Henry Adams does across the street, though it appears there will also be a lower sidewalk
