Their hours are simple.

Tues - Sat
11:00 - 19:00

They haven't been open on a Sunday for nearly 20 years and just recently started being closed on Monday when Nick got sick and passed away.

Had lunch today in the new Boston Pizza on Henderson Highway. Today was their first day of being open to the public and I was the 31st customer in the door and it was not bad.

Looks a little different than the other stores, more tile on the floor and less carpet in the lounge so there is a brighter look.

I expect once the staff gets up to speed this will be a busy store with not too much else out in the North Kildonan area to eat at other than Smittys or Pizza Hut.

Looks great at night having some light and life on that once barren and windswept corner.

It would be nice if they could redevelop the Petrasko's and Douglas service station with some new mid-rise residential. I do like Petrasko's as a local produce retailer in the summer but i get the feeling that they are winding things down a bit. We got our family Christmas trees there for about 25 years.

I thought that those two lots were the reserved city land for the park and ride that was dropped due to cost overruns from the first phase of the Chief Peguis extension.

The Taco Del Mar at Kenaston and McGillivray opened today; they were giving out free food. I had a steak burrito that was nothing special, but still good. As far as chains go, this seems like a good one.

Park and ride lots were set up years ago and no one used them. Why the heck would anyone get out of a warm comfortable car to wait for in the cold, and then get on a crowded bus, just to arrive somewhere later?

I looked into them once as a means to save money on the cost of parking. But I've since changed positions and the transit service is far more convenient.

Yeah, I noticed that! Its definitely good to have a 'grab n go' burrito place in that area... hopefully several more pop up (another one is U/C near HSC on William @ Sherbrooke).

Burrito Splendido is open out on the west side of town... haven't had a chance to try it. The one night I passed by, the line-up must have been 20 deep. I wasn't that desperate for a burrito.

Park and ride at kildonan place is always full. People always have to park in the overflow to the east of Zellers.

So I made my first visit to Taco Del Mar, and the manager on duty told me that they're expecting to open as many as EIGHT by summer. That seems pretty ambitious, but it sounds like they're all being opened as Taco Del Mar - Subway duos. We'll see how many open up.

Confirmed:
Kenaston (open)
Seasons of tuxedo (according to the Shindico site plan).
near HSC on William (signage on the building indicates so).

My guesses at future desired locations:
Pembina near the University
Stadium redevelopment (Target!)
Westport Festival
Regent area
St Vital Area

It sure nice to have more 'grab n go' food opening up all over the city.

Nothing says delicious more than an entire menu of sandwiches that all taste the same.

I also heard that those lots will be used for the grade separation whenever that gets built.

Ps First Post!

The saddest part about Winnipeg isn't that it has all those Subways, but that they're not 24/7.

Is this a serious comment? I have yet to see a Subway anywhere in Alberta that is open 24/7. Maybe this "Subway is open 24/7" is an Ontario thing?

Subway is not my favourite, but their cookies occasionally go down well. Quiznos is a much better sandwich joint in my opinion, as far as chains go.
