Is this the old SEMATEC site taken over by UT after SEMATEC up and moved to Rochester New York?

I'm super late to seeing these renderings but ho-lee shit. As someone who grew up in 78758 just down the street from this, I can't even begin to explain how unexpected a glow-up the area is receiving.

We always knew that land had development potential but I never expected them to go so big.

I sold my starter house in 78753 in 2023 for $167k more than I bought it for (partly due to its proximity to The Domain/Q2 Stadium) but it looks like the area isn't slowing down. Value will radiate out into the whole wider area from this.

I’ll bet the Roaring Fork restaurant on Stone Lake will see an uptick in business.

The owner of that Gateway/ Arboretum shopping center got really lucky with getting preapproval for a 500 ft limit to that area. I think Dave and Busters will stay for awhile but if they tear down that shopping center and go tall, That area will be well built up.

The University of Texas System Board of Regents approved adding the first phase of the UT Dell Medical Center to UT’s capital improvement program at an Aug. 12 meeting.

The CIP is the university’s approved list of major capital projects. Adding the project to the CIP allows the project to move forward with early design and development preparation work.
