Am I just passing by at the wrong times, or is this a virtually dormant development?

I’ve wondered the same thing. This, Spring Garden West and Promenade Robie are all big projects that seem stalled, with this being the furthest along.

I had heard this one was being redesigned to add more density. I guess the existing design was not financially viable. So they are looking to reduce ceiling heights and add more floors within the same height. And potentially add a bit more to the bulk of the tower. Not sure where it's at within the process though.

Thanks for the info. I hope they creatively work towards something close to the original design.

I hope this one gets back on track soon. It’s perhaps my most anticipated project going on in all of HRM at the moment.

I noticed an excavator on site this week. I wonder if this is back on track?

I've not seen any updates on that other tower in DT Dartmouth (granted, it started construction). I wonder if it's still ongoing?

The 10 Edward St. (Old Tim Hortons) location? Or, is there another I am forgetting?

That's the one. The renderings didn't look great, but the overall massing was ideal for a downtown location.

They have been working slowly to get the first bit of foundations in.

Thanks for the info. As far as I see in previous updates via the photo takers, there was a crane installed, so glad to hear they are getting the foundation in.

My guess is this will rise pretty fast once its out of the hole and be fairly dramatic in the DT Dartmouth skyline proper.

Dartmouth is going to have two skylines, downtown and at the old bridge.

I have not seen any activity at 10 Edward when I have walked by the last few months.

That sucks, as this site is idle as well. I believe it was a workplace accident?

Once Canada Post, and 10 Edward are up it'll help the lower skyline a lot. Queen Square has been lonely for a long time.

Walking by yesterday, there were two cement trucks, so work is ongoing.

Don't count this project out. The Post just had it's grade alteration permit and some utilities permits issued last week. I drove past this site over the weekend. There was no obvious changes that I could see but I also didn't park due to how congested the parking was with Dartmouth Ice Festival.

And while work on The Post and Edward Street might be slow there is plenty going on in Downtown Dartmouth. The Kevel is now occupied so that is an extra 400+ residents just three blocks away.
