IMO, this is not the right building for this area with all the other more modern, colored glass structures. The planned rendition looks like something out of the 80's -- hopefully they can come through with some interesting lighting and/or other building materials so it doesn't look all stucco or brick.

I think it’s the tacked on balconies and black masonry that’s creating that feeling. If they changed the black to all glass to match the windows and then connected the balconies vertically similar to the glass curtains the modern used, that would give it that sleeker look

No good news here, and I'm afraid we can put a fork in this project. The approved site plan was changed to "void" after it was approved, and no other permits were filed after being voided maybe a year ago.

"Void" pretty much means a project was cancelled. If a project were to simply undergo changes, it would have been withdrawn/re-submitted.
