What are the floor counts? Article just says 20 to 35. Latest DevApps doc still shows 32 as the tallest.

https://devapps.ottawa.ca/en/applica...0-0087/details

EDIT: I think the Citizen article is inaccurate. Seems pretty common now in local media.

You're probably right.

Sorry to disappoint!

Today, Patricia Boal on CTV Ottawa said Macdonald Gardens on Rideau Street is in Vanier, then kind of took it back. This was right after talking about Reynolds.

It's like, my God! Vanier seems to be the hardest area to define, followed by Westboro.

The entire site is very large and even extends into the river with water rights. However the portion of the site to be developed is restricted to the high ground at the southern edge of the property that is not underwater in that photo. Would the water have been lapping up against the retaining wall? It probably would have been unnervingly close.

Here's the latest risk mapping, from July 2022:

I'm having trouble looking at that pic and believing the flooding is not on that site.

This is now a 26/28/32 story project from Mastercraft Starwood, 'Soho Trim', and they appear to be changing the ridiculous address from 'Tweddle' to 'Trim'.

New post over on SRC

Black tower on Red Podium is a really good mix. can totally imagine the black gladding of Soho Italia on a red brick podium. I also very much appreciate the rounded corner

Oh, SoHo now. Should be decent quality then.

It's still there, just not very detailed.

Looks great for sure. I like the black towers with red brick podium, but I'm a little concerned that black towers will increase the cooling bill in summer and contribute to the heat island effect.

Here's a rendering from the Theberge website:

This is better than the other one IMO. Dark earthy colour, balconies.

Whichever design they go with, I'm just glad that Roderick finally learned how to draw curves in Sketchup.

This potential Project will be better than the norm as we are used to here.

On another note, do we have any update on that development proposal at Tweedle and Jeanne-d'arc?
