Who is the developer

Does anyone know who the developer/owner is? On the application it is listed as the Granite Private Equity Group Inc.

I think this is in redesign again as I've heard the dev has bought more land next to the site.

There's even a handful of 3 bedroom units in the podium.

Since attending the Urban Design Review Panel (UDRP) on September 9, 2022, and the Planning Committee meeting on October 27, 2022, the proposed design has continued to evolve.

The two-tower scheme presented to the Planning Committee remains similar in form and scale. The overall building massing has not been significantly altered. The tower forms for both the West and East buildings are both 40 storeys in height, as presented to the Planning Committee. City Staff and the Planning Committee encouraged the proposed development to not exceed 40 storeys. Therefore, in order to maintain density, we have not reduced or increased the building heights of either tower. The podium form was further developed in between presenting to the UDRP and presenting to the Planning Committee. The alterations included smaller stepped terraces along the South facades. Additionally, the scheme presented to the UDRP had continual stepping to the South façade of the tower portion of each building. The proposed scheme terminates the stepping further south from the towers, providing a greater setback from the abutting neighbourhood. This additional relief, along with the narrower stepped terraces, create a more delicate approach to the overall massing. The location and building footprints of both the East and West towers remain very similar to that proposed to the UDRP and Planning Committee Since presenting to the Planning Comittee the four-storey bridge form from levels seven through 10 has been revised, connecting the East and West buildings. The bridge creates a visual and physical break between the towers and podiums of each building. The amenity space, now linked, is visible from grade as you approach the site, as well as from afar and provides a unique element to passersby, as well as for users experiencing the bridge from within. The bridge is still being developed, as the specific uses within this space are still being defined. Therefore, the external design is yet to be finalized.

All true, but all-the-same, this is such a good development for the city. Parking rate of 0.49 per unit (including visitor) is not bad either.

APPROVED (in my head).

Looks really nice, especially for Ottawa standards. This would blend in a list of Toronto developments.

A shame that the nice terraces or step downs are hidden in the back.

I love this development. Actual great heights, love that twin tower aspect as it is very different to anything else in the city. Rustic feel, but it works. This will be great to add to the skyline from Lebreton to Bayshore.

Sens like another recycled Hobin design, only extruded for extra height. The contrast between the Kent proposal and this ius just, wow.

Some positives, height, twin towers (not often a fan, but it works here as it's the only set), retail, the bridge could be interesting. I was hoping for a much more modern design.

I think the era of charcoal brick is finally coming to an end. White aluminum panelling is all the rage now, and I'm all for it for a while. I've noticed some charcwhite proposals losing their charc at final render as well lately. I wonder what will be next after the white aluminum shapes go out of style!

The more I look at these towers, the more I'm annoyed. It's a copy papa see of the towers proposed on Bank at Riverside (Both sides of the street), the ones proposed at O'Connor and at Gladstone Station. Lazy work from Hobin.

I think we are finally opposites here haha. I am annoyed by the Kent development but like this one which is vice versa for you lol. Granted, I see where you're coming from.

We're in for a bunch of these Hobin towers in this design language. I like the bridge and the terraces in this proposal, but otherwise quite dull. I'll take it though, because it's better than a typical Ottawa proposal.

I hope it gets approved for the TOD but the design is just meh. as J.OT13 said it's just lazy Hobin copy pasta, and as Harley said, it's the new Charcwhite. so nothing 'wow' worthy other than it's over 28 stories. wait .. the ceiling is 30 stories now right?
