Great to hear... Halifax's crane count is punching well above its weight!

Crane is going up at the QEII today.

I snapped this photo over the weekend in Fairview. The three cranes + one crane base are for Roya Apartments, PortWest, The Fairway, and The Interchange

There were a couple of large mobile booms working yesterday in Dartmouth too, possibly readying cranes or putting in bases at least. One was on Main Street on the lot just below Tim Hortons, the other was at the Manga site behind Metropolitan Place

The Main St. one was completed. Nice bright red.

Had a chance to drive by the Willow Tree last evening. Those cranes at the hospital look brand new... as in brand new from the factory. Really sharp looking!

I think it is a new model too, Liebherr EC-B 470. I think the lift capacity is bigger than most around town. The second crane is going up very tall, it has a more substantial couple base sections than most. It looks like it would clear all the other buildings around.

It looks like they are owned by or run by PCL, rather than the usual model of the formwork company supplying the crane. Synergy has a big fleet of cranes, but they seem to favour Terex

That looked like the one from Nrth Condos, so Elite formwork must be doing this project.

Irving Equipment appears to have cleared a new yard up the hill from their existing yard. This is where they store their local cranes and equipment. This new yard appears to be stockpiled with more new tower crane sections, presumably the other two planned for the hospital.

There is some crane movement in Wyse Road District. Dawson Tower Suite is having it's removed, 17 Faulkner had one installed, and The Nest has a base in for a grey one. Little Brooklyn is still bare but we should see one there early this year.

Some unrelated colour for the page.

Great shot. I wonder if J2K will start their second site on Robie at the same time, typically they usually only have one going at a time, but they have a lot underway.

I’d expect the Dawson crane will be the second crane at the Nest. They use grey base sections on their red Wolffkrans.
