@ rocketphish - thanks for posting that pic! Great to see the progress, but also love seeing the CSIS and CSEC headquarters!

Man that Loblaws is a beast. I heard it was the biggest grocery store in Canada, not sure if that's true. It was already big before they took over the old movie theatre space.

Looking at the last picture that was posted, and driving past this project and the office buildings on either side of the highway tonight (i.e. Konica Minolta, TD, Telesat, the offices next to Shoppers City East), there's so much potential for this area to become a town centre or mini downtown like the area around Scarborough Town Centre (but better designed). The drive east on the 174 towards Blair looks so different with this project.

That's actually a Spook Centrals picture but now that I know what the high rise is called I'll look for it. They all better like the sound of snow clearing and air brakes in the morning.

This looks fantastic. If they continue this design language for the whole project this will be a very nice start for the Gloucester skyline!

Not bad for a rental tower. I like how they were not even trying to hide the fact that this will be a single tower in the midst of nothing (aka wide open spaces and parking lots) .... at least for now...

They're on the 15th floor now.
I'll take some photos next time I pass by.

I think this project broke ground some time in mid to late May of 2017 ....

It's moving ridiculously quick. Guess this is what happens when the building is rentals.

^Is this a different view posted? Or did they cheap out and change the design.. it seems pretty different than the last render posted.

If it's the same side, the black brick seems to have been switched for spandrel
"a-la-Claridge", podium windows look very different, etc...

The real life photo is looking at the left side of the render (posted above) straight on.

It's funny how a little building like this that wouldn't make a dent in the Toronto skyline is making such an impression on ours. Gloucester has an anchor now and it look enormous from Pineview. I hope to see larger towers follow in the near future. I think this is an excellent location being only 7 minutes from downtown by light rail and surrounded by amenities.

This building looks really tall when you're driving east on the 174. With all the office buildings and now residential, this area has the greatest potential to become a proper (somewhat) suburban town centre.

I was down at the Gloucester Center yesterday, and it looks bigger than it really is given there is nothing else comparable in the area. The hope is that area will build up once the LRT is rolling through Blair Station. Gotta give them credit for being so forward thinking with the station not even up and running yet. I'll do a tour once it's open as I'm starting to look for a new place.
