If their income rises eventually to the point where they wouldn't qualify any more, it would make total sense for them to either donate the entirety of their past-the-threshold income every year at that point, or else just convince their employer to permanently cap their income at the threshold.

^ Ah, the outcome is wrong anyway. People should always be encouraged to earn more money, cause they're usually helpful when they spend their additional money, no matter how. The random lazy folks just consume more stuff, which is yet something. The more ambitious who've got some ideas fund some businesses to earn even more and more, which is even better. It's the natural basics that some nerdy embittered socialists have tried to change, but it just can't work for now.

Make some money, then use it according to your consciousness. That's my only piece of advice, given the world we're living for now.
