I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt, running a business is not easy, and a lot of successful people have had companies go bankrupt. Doesn't necessarily mean he can't pull this project off, it is all about the team he assembles.
That being said, if he gets the sales, construction financing may be an issue given his previous financial mishaps.
