That's a VERY cool crane photo! I noticed it on Saturday as well, but forgot to mention. Good to see this moving forward.

Thanks!

Is that crane at full height from the outset?

I think so, as I recall it being quite tall. The crane is located at the back corner of this rendering.

I am disappointed that nobody took a bit into my earlier wondering.

With just a crane and virtually nothing else, will they still be able to complete construction by Q1 2017 as they have promised....????

Also I wonder what the profit potential is for this area compared with the rest of the city.

Hmmm... hollywoodnorth seems to only come around when there are erections happening. Some would call it strange, but all we know is he is called the hollywoodnorth.

man, i love little projects like this. you all up there may complain about your nimbys and viewcones, but from where i sit (94109), you're in a radical pro-development utopia like we had after the 1906 earthquake. it's truly amazing what changes from year to year visiting vancouver (aside from the architecture, of course).

It was raining when I drove by today, so no photos, but the east tower is now one floor above the ground.

A few shots I took walking by last night. The SE corner is above grade, and it looks like the rest of the buildings won't be far behind. It's really a massive site.

Pictures taken last month. Some are taken inside the showroom that abuts the construction site. 21 pictures in total!

Enjoy.

Looks cheap and spandrelly, as expected. But it's good that they're adding density, or whatever.
