Benonie, looks like you are still having a marvelous trip and taking marvelous pictures. Ottawa looks like a charming city. I would really like to visit.

Hey Ottawa guys, what is that round modern building? Very cool looking. It looks similar to the new arena in Kansas City. Is it an arena? Designed by the same person perhaps?

Thanks Mike474! With a little research, I can see they are not as similar as I thought.

Thanks indeed Mike, I thought it was an extension of Rideau Center shopping mall.

Ottawa River:

On the other side of the river we notice the concrete blocks and splendid museums of Gatineau, which is in the province of Quebec. But we'll visit Ottawa's sister later on.

Indeed.
Let's cross the Ottawa River for a visit to Gatineau. This city has got about 250.000 inhabitants and forms together with Ottawa the National Capital Region.
The highlight of Gatineau is the stunning Canadian Museum of Civilizations, the most visited museum in the country.
It's home to a great collection of native art, the Childrens museum, the Canadian Postal museum, an Imax theater and the amazing Canadian Hall, which takes you to a journey through Canadian history.

Another reason to cross the river is the Gatineau Park, the capital's 360 sq km green lung and a paradise for hikers, cyclists and skiers.

Quebec, also Quebec City or Ville de Québec is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec, of which it's the second most populous city in Quebec after Montreal. The city has a population of about 500.000 inhabitants and about 715.000 in the metropolitan area.
