^That's a great photo. I bet some members of the neighbourhood's families will be camped out over night to get spaces in Atelier's daycare.

Walking past today - looks like the 3rd floor of the podium has higher quality glass than the other floors (certainly wider panes).

Does anybody know when occupancy is supposed to be for this? I can't believe it is "late 2009" as has been thrown about by some Realtors websites ?

Nice one.
The glass on the third level of the podium (just under the lower awning/ledge) seems to be of high quality (can't really tell from the pic).
You can see the anchor plates on the columns for the (steel) L-shaped beam that will be installed on the corner.

A view of the daycare rooftop space on the south end of the podium at Atelier. The wall from 889 Homer (to the left) is not entirely unattractive and affords a bit of privacy and security.

Getting ready to pour more forms for the rooftop gardens on the top of the north end of the Atelier podium. Two things that make up a little bit for having a tower planted right across from my window (and removing a fabulous view) is at least the facade facing me is curved and also the rooftops of the podium will be attractive and interesting, rather than just gravel and air conditioning equipment.

and you'll be overlooking a roof garden. There are worse things that can happen, as you've noted . But I know what you're saying.

Thanks!
Hopefully the glass for the retail will be as nice as the glass on the 3rd floor.

This building really is Dr. Jeckyl and Mr Hyde... Some angles (this one) it looks great, yet from others it looks to be one of the worse buildings built in the last decade.

Either way the podium is impressive.

I noticed tonight that a few of the front main level glass panes have been set in place. They do look really good, at least from a quick look while waiting for the light to change.
