I drove past Spice today for the first time in a couple of weeks and they are still putting cladding up on the exterior. The place remains looking like it's about 90% finished, as it has for the last few months. I didn't get an opportunity to take a closer look as I was moving in traffic, but I don't recall seeing the damaged red siding -- I wonder if they did something about it.
I was by this today and overall it looks nice. Between this the nearby church, and Ocean Towers its a very "colourful" neighbourhood.
The only complaint is the lack of anything on the ground floor. It's just a black "dead" wall which is very unattractive and if the Cogswell is ever torn down and the downtown extends up there it'll bring the area down a lot.
I feel like prof seeing this going up to a student and saying:
"Given the bell curve of your fellow Halifax students, I would under normal circumstances give you a B-. But because all the other students turned in thier assignments LAST SCHOOL YEAR during the actual CLASS, you get a big fat F!"
You're starting to remind me of some old guy who sits in his living room with a pair of binoculars
Hahahahahahahahah! I can't help it. I wake up to this amazing view of a slowly changing city every morning. And I'm a planner, and love this city. I can't help but take notice of every little minute change in the view.
