I have not seen any rendering for this project.
However, it is clear that there is massive urbanisation work to be done in mtl and I think this project combined with griffintown village are great opportunities to achieve that.
Do you guys go to Toronto often, the total population is not that much higher compared to Mtl, but the number of people living downtown (in condo towers) is so much higher.
A higher density of population in down town mtl would be a great thing for several reasons:
-lower traffic jam,
-higher utilisation of public transit, (even the hyppies should support that...)
-higher concentration of consumption in downtown mtl,
-higher concentration of services
-etc, etc, etc.
-and on top of everything that would likely lead to a higher number of high rising buildings.
Although these projects might need a few changes, I don't think rejecting them is the right thing to do. Turcot is already disgusting enough, I don't think this project could be any worse than that.
