I like Ontario's simple, no-nonsense approach personally.

I'm in the process of replacing the boring-ass Ontario plates on my car to the wicked cool Manitoba ones!

Onatio and Quebec has the best, though I like Quebec's a little more due to the bolder font and colour. I'd prefer if we had the "widescreen" European plates though, those look so much better.

Yup. No nonsense. Cause Star Trek and Square dance themed license plates send that no nonsense message like nobody's business.

Those are vanity plates, the cost about a hundred bucks. Regular plates just have 'Ontario: Yours to Discover' and the serial on them. No images.

Some of the vanity plates are odd though. (There are well over 200 of them by now). I think there is even a NAMBLA one!

I don't see why they don't just make those the official plates of the province.

I like my car to look good and the plate should just blend in and not be noticed. So I like BC, AB, and ON the best. Simple is better. Some look too tacky IMO.

And I also like the fact we don't have to ruin the look of the front of our cars in Alberta with a plate.

I don't know that any provinces need the front plate anymore. I read something written by an American that said that was something that stood out at him when he visited.

You need it in BC, SK, and ON. Not familiar enough with the other provinces...

You don't need a front plate in Saskatchewan.

I like the simple plates...BC, SK, and ON, etc. I actually like the SK Veteran's plates the most. MB might be okay if they used different colours...I'm not a big fan of those pastel beaches.

In Ontario I think front plates are now optional, but they come two in a pack. But I'm pretty sure it isn't necessary.
