I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but I saw it on another forum and thought it was a great, innovative little video. I'm no photographer, but I love the locations and composition of the shots:

On the youtube page you'll see the URL under the video description. For this video the URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4v1rDLIidc

All you need is the part after the equals symbol, though. They all have the equal symbol in the same spot. So you're left with g4v1rDLIidc

Then you just type g4v1rDLIidc

I left a gap before the final ] just to show what to type. Close the gap, and..

Video Link

VOILA!

The jerkiness almost gave me a seizure but, yeah, I thought that was a great idea for a video. They certainly hit all the "spots" in Austin.

I saw them shooting the City Hall bit just a couple weeks ago. I wondered what it was about. The closing scene is just down the street from me.

The cranes are hard to find though, reflective.

Here's some I took back in January from St. David's Episcopal Church parking garage - behind the church in the photo below:

Some of the views:

A plus for this garage is that I've never seen a security guard up there.

Speaking of parking garages, what other off the beaten path parking garages have you found to shoot from and what's the security like?

Here's one I've been to on Lavaca across from the First United Methodist Church near the Capitol. It's on the right in the picture below.

Some of the views from there:

No security guards at this one, either.

I've never had a problem at the AMLI on 2nd garage when taking the 2nd St elevator then the stairs to the top. One Congress Plaza's Parking garage was great for the Four Seasons when it was still u/c but I did have a run in with security one out of the couple times I took pics from there.

^They like it when you take pictures from the AMLI garage. I even asked the guy in the ticket booth if I could go up, he said it's fine. The ex-Whole Foods garage too of course. Another spot where I've asked the security guard and he had no problem with it. I don't go to the One Congress Plaza garage, I go to the convention center garage next to it. Never had trouble there. The view is better there too, it's taller than the One Congress garage.

Does the 1Congress garage get in the way from the CC garage?

Not really no.

Here's a few from the CC garage from last November.

That's it in the foreground to the right.

This view is looking directly over it.

Finally got around to posting pictures from the Austin Chronicle's Hot Sauce Fest. On the music side, I was there solely there to check out an old buddy of mine from grade school days, playing trombone for T-Bird and the Breaks. He's actually the younger brother of an old buddy my age.

Wow, fantastic clouds. That new lawn at Zilker looks amazing, too, I was admiring it driving by the other day.

Thanks Priller.
