Nice height, but I'm not fancying the overly busy, fattish designs with two buildings connected. The tallest one definitely appears well over 900 ft based on its depicted relationship to neighbouring buildings (spire on Canada Trust is 869 ft).

Why is some fault of Toronto? The developer changed the scale of the proposal based on what they believe the market can bear. That's sensible.

I suppose so. It just seems to happen a lot here. I'm frustrated. The same might occur in other cities, but I don't keep track of those.

It does happen a lot in other cities, and it is unfortunate as the original idea was amazing. At least they kept the same architectural features on the towers and did not just do a flat curtain wall.

^ True, but it is still disappointing to see the two compared in the gif and the differences. Although the latter rendering is still great, it does lose some wow factor.

Despite the loss of height from the previously proposal, I still find this one to be stunning and a welcome addition to the locale. It will certainly make the area better aesthetically and practically. Plus it will hide the horrendous cladding on L-Tower from certain angles, so can only be a good thing.

Yeah... 254 metre twins, a year ago. Now, one has added 11 metres, to 265 metres actually, (not 264) the other lost 16 metres, to 238 metres...
