I don't normally like rap but this song and video are well produced. It has clips of the city so I thought I would share it here.

This was cool. They built a 5-storey wall, filled it with a choir of 300 and an orchestra and projected images on the face.

Ben Harper at the Jazz Festival. The stage is on Ste-Cath and we were 3 blocks away on Pres. Kennedy. We weren't even officially on the site! Gf's fault.

Stevie Wonder at the Jazz Festival. We arrived 4 hours early and were still a good 20,000 from the front. I was never really a big fan but what a show! Great night despite the rain.

This was a few days after Michael Jackson died so at the end of the concert, we all danced to MJ tunes with Stevie and the band.. while it poured rain.. (note the use of my patented cinematic technique: 360 Inebricam)

Just when we thought it was over they whacked us with fireworks, which we would have missed if we hadn't have stopped at a beer stand. Since the concert didn't end until well after 1am, the entire transit system ran an extra hour. Thanks STM!

I love it too! I'm there just about every night for the entire 2 weeks. I've caught 100+ shows over the last 3 years - 98% of them were free.

Parc Émilie-Gamelin (or Berri Square) Ste-Cath and Berri turns into an open air club for 2 weeks each summer. The first is Fierté/Pride week and the second is Divers/Cité. Free shows from noon to 1 am, cheap booze, best DJ's.. what else can you ask for?

Divers/Cité:
Infected Mushroom-brilliant psy trance, heavy on guitar, great show!

Cal have you ever been attacked, while video tapping any of these street scenes? I would never try that in Montréal.

Guy, don't worry, I'll be in Montreal in June and July and I'll be camming all the honies there....

[Now, I'm like that's a good question, I wonder why I don't get attacked... I think it's because people in Toronto, such as myself, have a natural inclination towards a very anal uptight personality, and it takes a lifetime to grow out of... I grew out of my anal personality when I got out of University, and now I do whatever I want, talk to whoever I want. I guess that's why I get whatever chicks I want. Cause I have no fear, I see something I just get it. Most people are not like that.. They are all tightwads, and they don't wanna come out of their shells for fear of getting yelled at, or maybe beat up or something... That's probably the reason why I don't get attacked, plus I probably do look a little scary]
Nice Cal! I'm starting to get over my shyness when photographing individuals. I finally realised that most people don't care or that they are actually flattered. Depending on the situation, many will even pose for you (not always the best but.. sometimes). I think that if you're friendly and non-threatening, you can do whatever you please.
