On cue...

'ESPN’s latest future power rankings put the Edmonton Oilers at 20th in the league based on their roster, prospects, contracts, and management. The article says that while Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl get “massive amounts of respect and adulation,” everything else about the team is “seen as mid.” Sports writer Devon Hladunewich took issue with the ranking.'

^ underrated beats overrated - especially if it lights some fires in the bellies of Oiler players beyond the big 2.

This is some Hockey....Featuring...Danny Gallivan.

As a Kid I love watching The Canadians and Bruins beat up on each other.

My only goal for the Habs should be to have a 70 pts player this season. That's it.

Has not happened since 18-19 (Max Domi, 72 pts). Also the only time it has happened in the last decade (before that was Plekanec with 70 pts in 09-10).

WOW huge news Jets resign both Scheif and Helly to 7 year $8.5 million extensions!

https://twitter.com/NHLJets/status/1...7Ctwgr%5Etweet

HERE TO STAY 😤

Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck have signed identical seven-year contract extensions with an average annual value of $8,500,000.

Jets have very bright future now with Perfetti, Colby Barlow and Rutger and now Schief and Helly locked up and JOMO back feels a lot better than last year.

Just so you know they aren't talking about the product on the ice.

Roster: 3rd Place
Prospects: 29th Place
Cap: 19th Place
Bosses: 17th Place

Connor V-2.0 looked small but good tonight with an apple.

His very quick, low, hard shot will be menacing once dialled in.

Agreed. I only watched about half the game. He didn't do too much from what I saw but that shot is a threat from anywhere. He's going to score a lot of goals on plays that dont look like they're going anywhere then he throws an unexpected laser at the net.

Let's maybe get out of December first.

Wow, Connor Bedard gets quite the first week in the NHL.

Gets to start the season facing off against Sidney Crosby and then it's a game in Boston, a game in Montreal, a game in Toronto, and then a game in Colorado. Chicago doesn't play at home until the 21st when they play the Stanley Cup champion Vegas Knights. Throw in a game in Vancouver and he could check off his NHL bucket list pretty quick.

He looked good. The Blackhawks controlled play while he was on the ice, he had five shots and actually had 11 shots toward the net.

Scott Laughton is my new favourite player. Anyone standing up for LGBTQ+ people when the NHL commissioner and board of governors have decided they won't is my kind of people.
