I honestly don’t know what that threshold is for this thread, if a project needs to wait for a concrete pour and / or crane erection than that’s fare.

Shoring and excavation count as under construction. The first page is not being regularly updated.

This is the list
https://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=98222082

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vancouver area for 10 storeys and up is grossly out of date for under construction. There's nothing under construction in Richmond within the database.

The One | 338.3m | 94s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners l u/c

Ready for another big concrete pour for walls and super-columns… just 5 days after the floor slab was poured… not bad ;-).

Benito

The crane in the centre of the photo. If Sam Mizrahi gets his height increase to 94 storeys, The One will rise taller than the top of the frame in the photo below (almost pencil tower status ;-).

The tallest on the right is One Bloor East @ 257 metres… so The One would be more than 81 metres taller, just across the street.

Johnny Au

The One will appear just left of centre in this shot of the growing Yonge Street canyon.

This rendering (sans logos) is identical to the renders with the (old) swoopy CIBC logo.

Obviously renders with the new diamond logo don't exist since the new logo was released in Fall 2021... when Phase 1 was already built.

CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre l Phase 2 u/c

5 cranes for 1 building (5th was added yesterday).

mburrrrr

The oh so clever diamond logo (and fonts)… that is oh so unreadable more than a block away. The graphic designers got paid way too much for this goofed-up brand make-over.

Johnny Au

Even the giant logo adorning the podium is iffy on the readability scale unless you are standing next to it.

skycandy

Did I mention the logo redesign sucks?

The angled diamond curtainwall of CIBC Square is known for its many moods... haven't seen this one before.

My favourite rebranding story comes from when I was an undergraduate student at Simon Fraser University. The university undertook a wholesale rebranding exercise that, after months (likely years) of effort, a secretive seven-figure budget, and a lot of hype, culminated in the triumphant reveal of... a red rectangle.

The diamond is reminiscent of the original produced after the merger. It's a maroon C facing a mirrored red C. Why not just go back to the original? I understand the shift to red. However, Canada's perspective now has two red banks. I can't imagine how much this rebranding cost.

I don’t think there is anyone in the BC / Vancouver section that actively updates the diagram pages.

While many insisted there was little chance that Sam Mizrahi's height increase for "The One" would be approved... this interesting tidbit was posted by marcus_a_j this morning:

"The status of the height increase is public. There were comments from various city departments on the proposal, in particular ECS (engineering), that needed to be addressed before they could sign off on the proposal. The comments appeared relatively minor so I expect planning to recommend approval at the next opportunity, which is likely at the January Toronto East York Community Council meeting."

Not sure where it was made public and it's damn frustrating when (potentially) big news is not provided with a source... nonetheless I'm content to restart the rumour mill on the height increase.

Now that skybuild elevators and forms can actually deliver a complete floor every couple of weeks... there's a chance I'll be alive to see this top out at 94 storeys... so bring it on.

I'm still skeptical on a height increase being approved by City Council, but we'll see.
I'm really surprised there are 5 cranes for the second Bay park tower now, holy cow. There must be a great deal of site communications and logistics between between teams on the site.

When it’s sunny... it still pours.

How about a week between pouring a floor slab and then pouring the walls and super-columns?? What parallel universe are we living in?

Honestly; I kind of prefer the previous logo, or at the very least wished they went back to the 1966 logo.

Though in fairness, I don't think the color is as big of an issue, after all, RBC and BMO predominantly use Blue.

I didn't notice that. Very Euro. It's a tight site and it make sense the rail corridor would have some major restriction on swinging loads around. Looks neat.
